Dreams will always be dreams if you don’t put them into action. But how would it happen? Are you dreaming of having a perfect body, but you don’t go for the workouts? or dreaming of having a Youtube Channel but afraid that who will subscribe you? or thinking of a Rolls Royce but not even working for a Maruti 800 :P? Or You want to start a business and become an Entrepreneur but afraid of losses or questioning your ideas. The difference between a Successful and unsuccessful person is the mindset. So, I’ll share how you can hack your mind and achieve your dreams.
Reasons Why you are not able to achieve your Dreams.
Before jumping into the solutions, it’s very important to know what leads to your scarcity mindset.
No Time Constraint in Life.
Sometimes, you live in daydreaming that I will have this, I will have that but usually ends up somewhere else. Remember your childhood, when you study for many hours because you have exams in some months/days otherwise you would fail or get low marks.
But there is no standardization of TIME in life and no such theoretical exams. That’s the reason you procrastinate a lot and let your dreams only be dreams.
Dreams Vs Reality.
Let it take an instance where you start working on your dreams. You start waking up early and go to the gym, the first day- it was good, you feel so much better but another day- It’s ok and the third day- It’s exhausting, and after a few days you make excuses and wait for Mondays :P. You get back to the original place or even worse of it. Dreams are easy but working on them is hard.
You Only Believe What You See.
Have you ever thought in most cases, why a doctor’s son/daughter becomes a doctor and lawyer’s son/daughter a lawyer, etc? It’s not because they are born intelligent, the reason is your mind believes what you see on everyday basis, the time you spend with, the society you live in, your upbringing. These all build beliefs and you start thinking about what is achievable and possible. So, for the son of a businessman, becoming a doctor is a difficult task and vice versa. So, that’s why you tend to neglect your true potential and dreams.
P.S. Exceptions are always there.
Giving up early.
As I mentioned in the Gym case, similarly in situations like competitive exams, blogging, singing, dancing, etc., You tend to expect results within few days or months, after putting efforts and getting no results you get negative thoughts and left with nothing but giving up so early. So keep patience and just focus on your work, trust me success will definitely come.

How Can You Convince your Mind in believing and achieving your dreams?
The solution to any problem lies in the problem, So, before looking into anything just focus on why can’t you able to achieve your dreams, are they that hard? or are you not putting the right efforts? or are you going in the wrong direction, etc? Here are some hacks to make your mind work for you.
Make Daily Goals.
The last task in the night before sleeping must be making your next day goals and analyzing your present day’s goals. Remember, your mind can achieve anything it just needs a push, but sometimes you scare your mind with the hard work you have to put in. Everything can happen, you just have to convince your mind by saying “Hey Mind!, It’s easy, We’ll do it together by taking baby steps.”
- Start with very small tasks. You don’t need to take very huge steps to achieve success, in fact, success comes when you slowly put the efforts and get results. Your mind gets convinced very easily when you start with baby steps.
For example, if you want to lose weight instead of a strict diet and running or gymming, start with 10 minutes walk or treadmill and don’t cut too many calories on the very first day. Day by day, increase the workout regime and plan your diet accordingly. - Make the priority list. Start your day by performing the important tasks in your priority list. For example, if you need to finish your project or study, do it first, take small breaks of 5-10 minutes after 1 or 2 hours if you don’t like it all or it’s boring.
Imagine Your Dreams.
Daydreaming is ok, but when you imagine the outcomes of the success like how would you feel if you own a Rolls Royce or how it would be to have a perfect body or $$$$$$ amount of money, your brain releases dopamine and it can’t able to differentiate if you really own the things or not or if you are really successful or not. But how it would be helpful in achieving your dreams? Believe it or not, you would start working one day to actually have them.
- Place the Posters of your dreams in rooms, bathroom or maybe kitchen. for example, You want to have a Company or Audi then, put the posters of your Company or Audi everywhere around the house where you visit most often.
The science behind this is the LAW OF ATTRACTION. Believe it or not, it actually works because you fill your brain with positive things and you eventually start taking positive actions.
Feed Your Brain with Positive Thoughts.
Your brain is like your body, if you eat junk you would feel bad, less energetic, etc. Similarly, feed your brain with positive thoughts because the outcome will be positive. If you have friends who don’t add much to your well being or say negative things or say you can’t do this or that, leave them as soon as possible because, in reality, they are not your friends. Always have friends or people around you who have a better mindset
- Mentors can help you in achieving your goals, they add value to your life and let you believe that your dreams are possible. Always have at least one mentor. It can be your friend, your parents or your teacher or a Book or Motivational speaker. If you’re inspired by some people but afraid to talk to them, just ping them and ask for help. What worst can happen? they won’t reply or they won’t help, then go and talk to another.
Put a Time Constraint.
This is a simple hack but truly effective, when you put your goals in a time constraint, they are likely to be effective because your brain acts in some time pressure, you would get more alert when you approach your deadline. So mark a deadline on a calendar or prepare your own calendar which shows the number of days left.
Keep Your Brain Healthy.
There are many exercises for your body like gymming, dancing, running, etc. But what’s for the mind? You don’t do anything to keep your mind healthy, So, Meditation and Yoga are the only workouts to keep your mind healthy, Meditation can enhance the mind power, it makes your belief system strong, and it helps in stopping mind wanders.
- Start Meditation from today onwards, trust me it will really help you in the long run, You would have control on your mind. A controlled mind can achieve the most.
- Meditation for 10 minutes daily can help in combating depression, negative thoughts, and anger.
Last Words.
Try to figure out what’s stopping you from achieving your dreams, You can achieve anything, trust me only the mind can let you achieve everything in your life. But you have to hack your mind before chasing your dreams. So, how can you hack it? By not letting it know that you are actually working hard. But how? by taking baby steps, by imaging that you have already accomplished your dreams, by feeding positive thoughts, by having mentors, doing meditation and Yoga, etc.
